Do natural products really work as well as chemical formulas?
Yes, natural products work just as effectively as chemical formulas but are kinder to the body.
The animal body, like the human body, can’t tell which ingredient is naturally produced and which is artificially manufactured. It simply absorbs and responds to the ingredients’ molecules. Whether the same ingredient was formulated in a laboratory or found in nature, the result is the same.
What makes our products so effective is the mix of ingredients we put in them. We include ingredients known to contain the goodness your girl or boy needs.
While just as effective, natural products are inherently gentler on the body and don’t contain any added nasties that could irritate your dog further.
How long do natural products take to work?
Every dog responds differently, so it is impossible to say how long it will take for our products to work. Some owners report an immediate difference; others need a bit more time to see a change.
Lots of chemical formulas are designed to work quickly and aggressively, but at the risk of side-effects. While just as effective, natural ingredients are gentler on the body and so some can take a few more applications to act. But your patience will be rewarded with a happier dog, happier environment, and happier conscience.
Your ingredients list chemicals!
No, our products really don’t contain artificial chemicals! Some of our products list ingredients that look like chemicals, but they are in fact naturally-produced ingredients listed in their scientific (often latin) names. It can make them sound artificial but we promise they’re completely natural.
Do natural products feel different to chemical ones?
The texture of natural products can feel different to what you’re used to. They might not lather up as much as chemical based products for instance. That's because they don’t contain artificial smoothing, plumping or sticking agents.
If a formula feels heavier than ‘conventional’ ones, try using a smaller amount as a little often goes a long way.
The lack of synthetic fragrances and flavours mean that our products are also more pleasant for your boy or girl’s sensitive nose and taste buds. We’re confident you and your dog will love them.
Are your products organic, hypoallergenic, vegan?
Yes, mostly! We believe in treating our dogs the way we want to be treated. That means only stocking products that we’d be happy to put on our own skin. All of our shampoos and balms are made with 100% organic ingredients and have been tested hypoallergenic. With the odd exception, most of our products are vegan. Are your treats grain-free, gluten-free, organic, vegan, hypoallergenic, human-grade?
Yes! Our treats are made to be delicious and kind to the body. Each recipe has been carefully developed to suit as many doggy tummies as possible. That includes making them grain-free, gluten-free, organic, vegan and human-grade.
Do your treats have added dental benefits?
No. They’ll do your pooch good from the inside, and this treat will freshen their breath, but they’re not designed to clean teeth or remove plaque.
How long do your natural products keep for?
Our soothing balms and salves last up to 12 months without spoiling.
Our gentle shampoos keep up to 18 months.
Our tasty dog treats keep for up to 4 months if stored with the bag tightly shut in a cool, dry environment… if your pooch lets them last that long!
Our poo bags start to biodegrade within 100 days if kept in a cool, dark place.
Can I use your products on other animals?
All of our products have been developed specifically for dogs. While customers do report successfully using them on other pets such as cats and rabbits, we can’t endorse using them on other animals. Please always do a patch test if you decide to at your risk.
Are natural products better for the environment?
Products that contain chemicals can be very harmful to the environment. Plus, the process of manufacturing them can also have a damaging impact on our world. But natural ingredients are created by our natural environment, meaning that they are already in sync with it and kinder to our planet by their very nature.
Is your packaging recyclable?
We believe in reducing plastic waste, and so use recyclable packaging wherever we can. Products present in recyclable or sustainable packaging are highlighted in the description symbol.
